"Né à Brest, Bretagne, France, en 1971, Stéphane Pellennec ne dérogera pas à la règle du Breton exilé... Garder la tête dans les nuages, malgré une carrière dans l'industrie ; et surtout, cet irrépressible besoin de voyager à sa manière, libre, avant de trouver bon port... Ses pérégrinations sur la Route avec sa compagne l'amèneront finalement en Finlande, son pays natal à elle, en 1995. Le silence, la pureté, la lumière, les saisons marquées, la nature imposante, les gens... In english "Born at Brest, Brittany, France, in 1971, Stéphane Pellennec was the typical example of the exiled Breton... Keeping his head in the clouds, despite a career in industry; and above all this irresistible need to travel in his own way, free, before finding a safe harbor... His wanderings on the Road with her partner will finally bring him to Finland, her native country, in 1995. Silence, purity, the light, the extremely distinctive seasons, the imposing nature, the people... Love at first sight is immediate and new roots grow, which are added to the older ones. He anchors his home in Lahti, in the south of the country with Sanja, his wife. Summers are short and shrouded in light. The winters there are long, white and dark... Literally this Finnish word Äärettömyys means without edge, without limit, this is what we know as infinity in English language.

I have the feeling that at least during the laps of a moment, we all can touch the infinity. It's all happening now, the great adventure of the universe, we are part of it, as atoms, particles turning around. We are the universe. During a lapse of a click, I try to record those moments with my camera.

Featured on Tagree.de (Sept. 2019): Photography is about the instant, the present and is not really the progressive work that painting is. So, by my photography I tend to record the instant, but not as something especially figurative but more as something introspective. How the instant affects me? What could be the essence of what I see? For my mind not to be driven by the physical aspects of the subject and try to be free from it, for me to feel more than to see, I distort the figurative aspects of the subject and try to be free from it. This way I bring up some works which are completely opened to the watcher personal interpretation. I like to think my image finds a new life in the watcher reality. I think the words of Antoine de Saint Exupery helped me in my way to create my images: "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye".

Il nous l’offre même comme si nous étions celle ou celui qui capturions ce moment de grâce pas à travers son appareil photo mais à travers nos yeux."
